We are currently revising our bird list. It was last updated in 2012, so it is about time. We will have to scrap about 40 species for different reasons. In some cases there have been taxonomic changes in hte last years (species were split, etc.), in others the presence of the species could not be confirmed in the course of the last ten years. But fortunately there will be plenty of additions, so the bird list should end up containing around 400 species again. The biggest bird families present in Santa Lucía will be (not surprisingly) the Thraupidae (Tanagers) and Tyrannidae (Flycatchers).
