About the Educational Project

Bosque Escuela Santa Lucía: Learning from Nature, in Nature
The Forest School Santa Lucía is a non-profit social, environmental, and educational project that connects children, youth, and communities with nature through immersive experiences in the cloud forest of the Chocó Andino.

Through environmental education, we promote hands-on learning, respect for biodiversity, and the adoption of sustainable practices. Our work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education (SDG 4), Climate Action (SDG 13), Life on Land (SDG 15), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

At Bosque Escuela, there are no traditional classrooms or blackboards—nature is our teacher. We encourage curiosity, exploration, and collective learning, raising awareness about the importance of conserving ecosystems and strengthening community resilience.
Our project is sustained through education, sustainable tourism, and the support of strategic partners who believe in shaping generations that are more committed to protecting the planet.
