Unfortunately the current world-wide "corona-crisis" also affects research in Santa Lucía. Merlijn and Wouter, the two Belgian volunteers, who worked on hummingbird <-> plant interactions had to leave after only half the time of their planned stay. The are safe back home now. In the five weeks the worked the collected a huge amount of data on nectar in hummingbird polinated flowers and hummingbird <-> plant interactions. We thank them very much and hope to see them back again at some point when the times are brighter again.
