Our activities

In Santa Lucia you can choose between several activities to do during the day, what is your favourite?​
  • Hike through spectacular primary and secondary cloud forests, discover giant tree ferns, strangling trees, a wide range of epiphytes and a huge number of orchid species.
  • Enjoy walking to and refreshing in our beautiful waterfalls and clean rivers.
  • Enjoy observing a good amount of the ~400 bird species that we have registered so far.
  • Visit the Cock-of-the-Rock Lek.
  • Enjoy nocturnal hikes and discover a whole cosmos of nocturnal biodiversity.
  • Learn about the community's history and enjoy the experience of making "panela“ (sugar cane) in a traditional way.
  • Talk with our biologist about all the scientific research and wildlife monitoring that is being done in our reserve.
  • Visit our giant swing.
  • Simply relax in our hammocks while observing the hummingbirds at feeders just outside of the lodge or watching the sunset.
